ImmuneRegen Adds Respected Japanese Research Scientist to Scientific Advisory Board

Dr. Akihiro Shimosaka Joins Biotech Company

Scottsdale, Arizona -- January 26, 2004 -- IR BioSciences Holdings, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: IRBOE.OB - News) today announced that it has added Akihiro Shimosaka, PhD to its Scientific Advisory Board for its wholly owned subsidiary, ImmuneRegen BioSciences, Inc., and to work with its potential expansion into the Asian Pacific area, more specifically Singapore as the company is expecting to establish a research facility at the newly developed Biopolis in Singapore.

Dr. Shimosaka brings over 30 years of research and development experience and a wealth of knowledge to IR BioSciences' Scientific Advisory Board. He began his career in the late 1960s with Kirin Brewing as a research scientist. He continued his R&D career with Kirin for 25 years, during which he steered Kirin into a partnership with Amgen to further develop Kirin's R&D program. After joining forces with Amgen, Shimosaka worked on drugs for brain tumors and for drug resistant leukemia and discovered HGF (an oncology drug). He has been a key part of discovery research for a number of drugs/compounds throughout his career.

About Dr. Akihiro Shimosaka
Dr. Akihiro Shimosaka is currently the director in the Research & Development Division for the Research Foundation for Community Medicine in Japan. In addition to this position, he also holds an advisory position at EPS Co, honorary professorships at the Institute of Hematology in Peking Union Medical College at the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, at the Hematology Research Institute of Heilongjang, and at Xi'an Jiatong University, as well as visiting professorships at The Cancer Institute at The Fourth Medical University and the Department of Chemical Engineering at Dailan Nationality College, all located in China.

Shimosaka also belongs to several industry associations, including: the Japanese Society of Agricultural Chemistry, the Japanese Association for Cancer Research, the Japanese Society for Clinical Oncology, the Japan Chemical Society, the Japanese Society for Hematology, the Japanese Society for Regenerative Therapy, the International Society for Hematology, the International Society of Experimental Hematology, the European Hematology Association, the American Society for Hematology, the American Society for Clinical Oncology, the American Association for Cancer Research and the New York Academy of Sciences.

Additionally, Shimosaka holds a bachelor's and graduate degree from the University of Tokyo, where he also served as a research scientist in the Institute of Applied Microbiology.
