Hoehn, Jr. Ph.D., as the first appointment to its newly established Bioterrorism Preparedness Advisory Board. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Department of Counter Terrorism (DCT) recently requested ImmuneRegen form the board to develop an emergency deployment plan for the proprietary compound, Radilex™. In its sixth stage of testing, Radilex™ is a treatment currently in development to counteract the effects of lethal radiation dosages, anthrax or ricin poisoning, as well as similar inhalants. Dr. Hoehn is currently a visiting professor at the Sam Nunn School of International Affairs at Georgia Tech. Dr. Hoehn will be charged, along with his fellow board members, with developing a plan to disseminate the proprietary and potentially life-saving compound Radilex™ in the event of a biological or nuclear disaster. The ImmuneRegen Bioterrorism Preparedness Advisory Board will also be available to support local, federal and international officials in dealing with the possible threat of another terrorist attack. Dr. Hoehn will be instrumental in assisting Dr. Mark Witten, Advisory Board Chairman and ImmuneRegen BioSciences Chief Scientific Officer and Founder. Before joining Georgia Tech, Dr. Hoehn served in both the legislative and executive branches of the federal government, and as a researcher and executive at a major think tank. From 1984 to 1997, Dr. Hoehn served as a senior professional staff member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, with responsibilities for arms control, strategic weapons programs in both the Departments of Defense and Energy, and defense strategy and policy. He also served as a senior policy advisor to former Senator Sam Nunn (D-GA). Dr. Hoehn was the Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for International Security Policy(ISP) from 1982 to 1984. In addition to day-to-day management of the 120 professional civilians and military officers in ISP, he was primarily responsible for the Secretary of Defense's Emerging Technologies Initiative to enhance cooperation with our NATO allies on defense technologies. Prior to his government service, Dr. Hoehn was a research professional, research manager, and vice-president of The RAND Corporation, a major think tank. While at RAND, he was the author or co-author of a number of classified and unclassified studies and briefings on both economic and national security issues. Dr. Hoehn earned his B.S. in mathematics and economics from Bethany College, and his Ph.D. in econometrics from Northwestern University. He also did post-doctoral research at the Netherlands Econometrics Institute in Rotterdam.
